Nest to Nest is a woman-led 501(c)(3) organization redefining the donation experience for under-resourced families and children.

We partner with social service representatives and provide them with high-quality, thoughtfully repackaged goods, giving everyone an opportunity to build their nest.

We receive and sort donations in our South San Francisco facility. Developmental stage, gender identity, and housing placement are just a few considerations when selecting and building our care packages. Nothing thrown together in haste because every child and family deserves to feel valued.

Our aim is to reduce consumer waste and put as little into landfills as possible. Community donations that aren't selected for a new nest are responsibly recycled.

The Nest to Nest Way

Every family is unique, so our donation process is too.

Thoughtful Donations

We curate lightly-used donations from the local community. Then professionally clean, sort, and store them in our South San Francisco warehouse. Our nest is home to clothes for children, toys, books, breastfeeding supplies, small furniture, and more.

Thoughtful Partnerships

We partner with social service organizations to provide families with resources using a thorough intake process that identifies specific needs. We gather information about each child's developmental stage, personality, and interests to build the perfect care package.

Thoughtful Redistribution

We redistribute donated goods in a way that says, "you matter." Our custom tote bag and gift tag transform the donation process, allowing each recipient to feel seen. Quality items support self-confidence and help children thrive.

Thoughtful Sustainability

We aim for zero waste. Our packaging materials are 100% recyclable, and we use eco-friendly hypoallergenic cleaning supplies like CleanSmart. Donations not selected for a new nest are responsibly recycled through services like TerraCycle, USAgain, and Discover Books.
